🗺️ Travel Timeline

From the streets of Daggerford to the cursed manor that changed everything.

Dinner with the Duchess and The Eviction Request – 18 Marpenoth 1491

The party’s investigation into the disappearance of Rose and Thorn Durst begins in a fog-covered alleyway. A distraught woman, a shrouded tale, and a house that seems to breathe.

The Mists Close In

As they cross the threshold of Durst Manor, fog seals the street behind them. There is no going back. The house awakens. The walls listen.

Ground Floor — The Music Box & the First Lies

Dust, decay, and whispers. A haunted lullaby leads to the first clues that Rose and Thorn’s story is not what it seems.

Upper Floors — Ghosts, Portraits, and Shifting Rooms

The manor reveals its teeth: portraits change, nursery rattlings grow louder, and the party discovers the Durst children… not alive, but lingering.

Secret Stairwell — Descent into the Dark

An unlit passage behind a hidden panel twists downward. The chanting begins—distant, unintelligible, constant. The house hungers.

Dungeon Level — The Cult Revealed

Cells, offerings, and remnants of unspeakable rituals. The party uncovers the truth of the Durst family’s cult—along with the rotting foundations of the house’s power.

The Ritual Chamber — One Must Die

The final truth is laid bare. The cult’s chant rises. A monstrous abomination stirs. Zarkoth’s fate is sealed, marking the party’s first true loss.

The Collapse — Fight the House to Escape

As the ritual completes, the house turns on them—doors slam, walls bleed, stairs collapse. Razor-edged blades slice from the walls. Smoke chokes the halls. The party must escape or be entombed forever.

The Street — Freedom Into Fog

Bursting from the exit as the structure groans behind them, the party returns to Barovia’s streets. The house falls silent. The mists recede.
But the echo of the chant lingers
